b-LOG: Questions...and More Questions
Date Posted: 22/01/2012

The most important questions we can sometimes ask are the questions that we may not even be aware of.

"How do I ask questions if I don't even know what I don't know?"

When at the doctors, we often leave the questions and the answers to our doctors since most of us don’t know what questions to even ask.

Same applies for our auto mechanics. Kid’s piano teacher. The list goes on.

We usually have some form of trust and faith in the info we receive and ultimately pay for. When you’re selling your home there will likely be questions that you should ask that again, you may not even be aware of.

Some of the biggies are :

  • What Realtors will be seeing my home? (Did you know that your home being on Realtor.ca may not mean that it is on your local real estate association’s MLS system? Niagara Association of Realtors has over 1,000 Realtor members. You want them to see your home on their system!)
  • Where will you advertise our home?
  • How often will you be advertising our home? (ie: if our home is still listed after 3 months, will it still be appearing regularly in the local and regional publications?)
  • What is your approach to negotiating?
  • Who do you think the buyer of our home is? …and….how are you going to reach them?
  • If you are away, what arrangement do you have to ensure that our home is still getting the necessary attention?
  • How many listings do you currently have?

And again, the list goes on and on.

As mentioned in a few other blogs, when you are approaching a move, check with friends, family and countrymen for advice and info on their experiences. They may have questions and ideas that haven’t yet crossed your mind.

And then of course there are all the other usual questions.

If you are considering a move, we would love to meet with you and answer all of your questions.

Please feel free to call or email us anytime.

Thank-you for visiting.
