b-LOG: Interview, Hire & Trust – Don’t Hire by Default!
Date Posted: 11/08/2011

Ok, its cliché time.

Selling or buying a home is often the biggest financial decision most of us will make in our lifetime. Cliché but true!

This may sound biased what with us being Realtors and all, but we can’t stress enough the importance of interviewing agents until you find the individual or team that you feel most comfortable. Then hire them with a clear idea of their responsibilities and your responsibilities.

And with equal importance, trust them!

Maybe it comes back to the interview and hiring process, but assuming you are confident in them, at that point you need to trust your decision. The work put in before the listing is very important. With the guidance and experience of your agent, you should have a plan that brings you through the pre-listing period all the way to post sale. We tend to be very hands-on and detail oriented, especially before the public walks through your home.

Remember, all us agents do is go through homes and quite often, with buyers. Over the years we start to hear common themes and feedback as we walk through properties.

Our advice and suggestions to you are not personal.

Our advice and suggestions are based on experience and real life opinions from the people that matter…buyers. And it’s not a control issue.

It is purely hiring a professional to complete a job. If you hire someone to put in a concrete patio, I’m sure you trust and let them do their job.

Try to apply the same principle to selling your home. Again, this comes back to your faith in the abilities of your Realtor.

We always welcome the opportunity to meet and chat with people. P

lease feel free to contact us anytime by phone or email.

We would be glad to meet with you for an obligation-free, relaxed conversation.

Thank-you for visiting.
